OUR FIRST REVITALIZATION PROJECT IS NOW FINALISED!
We find it at the Azem Bejta primary school, in the village of Grabanica, municipality of Klina, which started in March 2019.
Together, the Library Project, the children, and school representatives identified one unused classroom, and two archive rooms (attached to the classroom) for potential transformation into a library and reading space for the children.
WE WANT ALL KIDS TO READ
Being able to read and understand what you are reading is a basic human right. To fully participate in a democratic society, you as an individual need to make crucial life decisions, contribute, influence and be source-critical. Without good reading-comprehension you are limited and depended on others.
READING
Our three approaches are currently reached through six methods of interventions that are interlinked, dependent on one another, and primarily strengthened through our sixth method, ‘collaborations’. In this section, we will focus on the six current methods utilized, development of reading hours, training of teachers, our books selection, revitalization of space, development of circulating libraries, and collaborations.
We want wonder, imagination, and feelings to blossom in children. Increasing reading interest is vital to increasing children’s understanding of the text and with our method we will together work with the children to guide them through the reading, to provide a space of open discussion on the texts where different ideas, approaches and understandings can be brought to life.
Get Involved
Your contribution is extremely valuable for the children. We are transparent with all our expenditures and use the money wisely and efficiently. Funds to the project will solely be used for purchasing books, materials or any other costs that is necessary, within the framework of the project. We will be share on the website, in line with our goal for full transparency the quarterly financial reports and the annual report for the project.
